Munir Zakee
Munir Zakee, raised in Atlanta, GA, is an aspiring musician, producer, and student in life. At an early age, Munir was introduced to West African percussion which opened the gates for his love of music. Understanding the influence music has on the world, Munir began studying, performing, and traveling to best represent positive energy that can be shared through music.
Dani Herd
Ever since she saw Romeo & Juliet in the eighth grade, Dani Herd has dreamed of performing onstage at the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse. In 2007, the Tim Redovian Memorial Fund allowed her to participate in the Tavern’s Shakespeare Intensive for Teens. She spent four amazing weeks that summer at the Shakespeare Tavern, taking classes in stage combat, text, and madrigal singing. She played Hamlet that summer at SIT, and the experience forever changed her expectations of what she could accomplish onstage.
Ryan Walden
Ryan Walden first started theatre in 7th grade when he did a production of West Side Story at the MJCCA, and ever since he has been pursuing acting in hopes to make it his career. With the Redovian scholarship he was able to attend a three week stage combat intensive at UNCSA and develop new skills, connections, and relationships which he is deeply thankful for.
Walker Jermaine Jackson
Jermaine Jackson tenor, is an alumnus of the DeKalb School of the Arts and three-time recipient of the TRMF scholarship from 2002-2004, all to attend the Interlochen Arts Camp. He went on to graduate from the Interlochen Arts Academy and pursue further degrees in music.
Shonica Gooden
Shonica Gooden is a passionate dancer from Atlanta, Georgia. While growing up in Atlanta, she trained at DanceMakers of Atlanta and Dekalb School of the Arts (Class of 2007). In the summer of 2005, Shonica attended NYCDA’s Summer Intensive, thanks to the Tim Redovian Scholarship fund. She was highly inspired by the teachers and the artistic experience. This inspirational experience made Shonica realize that she wanted to definitely pursue a professional career in dance.
Natalie Cook
Natalie Cook is a writer, performance artist, activist, and community organizer. She is currently an undergrad student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she is double-majoring in English with an Emphasis in Creative Writing and Afro-American Studies.
Reginald Smith Jr.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia Reggie is a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio. Reginald has been seen in performances of Falstaff (Falstaff), La Traviata (Germont), Porgy and Bess (Jake/Frazier), Romeo et Juliette (Capulet/Le Duke), The Magic Flute (Speaker), Madame Butterfly (Bonzo), Die Fledermaus (Dr. Falke/Dr.Blind), La Boheme (Colline), Le Nozze di Figaro (Figaro/Antonio), Mikado (Mikado), Pirates of Penzance (Pirate King), River of Time (Billy), and Amahl and the Night Visitors (Balthazar).
Noah Haines
Noah Haines is a songwriter, singer, musician, and occasional actor & writing hailing from the great city of Buford, Georgia. He is a two time winner of the Tim Redovian Scholarship, winning in 2011 as a performer attending the Open Jar Musical Theatre Intensive in NYC, and in 2012 as a composer, where he studied composition with Harrison Hinson, a former pupil of Leonard Bernstein.
Brittany Bohn
Brittany Bohn is currently performing in the Broadway musical Mamma Mia! on Royal Caribbean’s newest ship The Quantum of the Seas. She graduated from DeKalb School of the Arts in 2007 and also danced outside of school with The Vista Grove Dance Centre under the direction of Coby Richardson. She then went on to get her BFA in dance and theatre at Point Park University in downtown Pittsburgh.
Jamal White
Jamal White (Birmingham, AL) was raised in Atlanta, GA, and began his training at Dance Makers of Atlanta under the direction of Denise and Lynise Heard.
